When you come, you will need to bring an ID with you. We only need basic information, and the process does not take long at all.
We are in partnership with various organizations that help us bring in food that we can distribute. Depending on what we are able to get, the food we give out varies from week to week. We try to get foods that are easy to cook filling, and shelf-stable. We do have the opportunity to give out frozen foods including meats, pizza, and other items, as well as bread, milk, and eggs from time to time when we are able to get them.
In Matthew 14, Jesus feeds the multitude of 5,000 people because they were not in a place where they could have bought food for themselves. So, rather than have them leave, Jesus instructed the Disciples to give them food. Then He worked a miracle! Then, in Matthew 25:35-40, Jesus says...
"'For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me." Then the righteous will answer him, saying, "Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?" And the King will answer them, "Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me."
We sincerely believe that when we are meeting the basic needs of those who are hungry, thirsty, sick, or in need of comfort, we are serving Jesus Christ. We all need Jesus, and God has blessed each of us with the ability to serve others. Here at Mon-Aetna, we have been given the extraordinary opportunity to bless by giving food to those who need it, and we are thankful to be able to provide such a ministry to the glory of God in Jesus Christ, our Lord.
